Jonty is the founder of the Para V and Para Icy V swim series. He is a renowned cake baker and eater, and is never happier than when he is sitting lake side, eating cake and chocolate. Sometimes he actually swims in open water and is a renowned ice swimmer if he can get over his love of faffing. To justify his love of toasted teacakes, he has completed multiple endurance swims, including an English Channel Relay, solo swim of Windermere and numerous marathon distance swims. He was part of “Team Bits Missing” the first disabled relay team to swim the North Channel. Jonty was the first disabled swimmer to swim the International Ice Swimming Association's “IISA" 'Ice Mile'. He is a Guinness World Record holder for Para distance Ice Swimming, and is a Vice President of IISA and global board member. He is Co Chair of the Ice Swimming Hall of Fame and has represented GB in two Ice Swimming World Championships. He organised and was a member of the first Para relay team to compete as “World Para” in the finals of the IISA World Championship country 4X250M relay and he referees and competes at most GB Ice Swimming championships. This all sounds very impressive on paper; sadly you may be disappointed when you meet him. Jonty completed his Para V by swimming five 5KM swims on five concurrent days in five different countries in 2022.
